Wooden car parts are often associated with English classics. This is not surprising, as the first cars were largely made of wood, and it's in England that we find the greatest number of car brands where wood led the way.
Wood gives an impression of luxury and affordability. Brands like Rolls Royce and Bentley are good examples, and wood still dominates the interior today.
For our classic Volkswagen too, you can make the interior more luxurious by adding wood details. For example, chrome window cranks with a wooden knob and a wooden clamping ring.
The advantage of these window cranks is that they fit all model years and all VW models from August 1967 onwards. If you have speakers in your doors, you benefit from another small advantage: they're a little higher than the original, which in some cases is just enough to prevent them rubbing against the speakers.
