Our Volkswagens are full of screws, bolts, nuts and washers that are not all made for a particular model, but are used universally. These parts are recognizable by their part number starting with the "N" of the German word "Normteile", which means "standard parts". It may be a standard part, but that does not mean it is still readily available today.
The hexagonal bolts listed here are identical to the original, so also with the correct tensile strength and length, which is important for the application of these bolts.
Note: Always use Volkswagen specified bolts with the correct tensile strength. Never use bolts of the same size, but with a different tensile strength than the original.
