The Volkswagen Beetle and Karmann Ghia were equipped with link pins until 1965, after which they were modernized with ball joints.
If a ball joint has too much play, replace the ball joint and it's done. It's a whole different story with link pins, an overhaul takes much longer and it often happens that we have to replace more parts than we thought at first.
If the link pin carrier is too worn, a revision kit is no longer an option and you will have to replace the link pin carrier. Most problems occur with the steering angle, which is limited by the inclined edge of the bracket, when it is worn, the steering angle becomes too large, causing wheel impact, which will be a direct disapproval at the annual inspection.
In addition to the link pin carrier, you need a revision kit that contains all the necessary rings, pins, bushes, etc. These parts are listed under the options tab
