Failure of the spacer ring mounted between the camshaft gear and the distributor gear can become a costly event.
The original spacer ring is never intended to survive the stress of a high horsepower engine. This high performance spacer ring replaces the original ring, it is an extremely strong closed ring that cannot open under heavy loads.
For a standard motor, this high-performance distance ring has no added value, so the original ring (listed under the alternatives tab) is sufficient. However, if you want to make additional adjustments to your motor later on, it makes sense to use this high-performance ring while your motor is still disassembled.
