Westfalia campers are equipped with a side window in which the original window has been replaced by a slatted or louvred side window, which can be opened from the inside to get rid of cooking smells and to ventilate the interior.this can be opened from the inside to get rid of cooking smells and to ventilate the interior.
The rubber that fixes the window in the groove is not the same as that of a standard window, it is much thinner and has a different profile. In addition to this rubber, this gasket set includes the other gaskets that you will find when you dismantle the unit. For models intended for the Volkswagen Split Bus, the window stop rubbers are also included in this kit.
You would expect Westfalia to choose a black rubber (like all other window seals), but they looked at the color of the aluminum; black would give too much contrast, so they chose gray. This set of gaskets also has grey rubber, as was the case in the original set.
