Tail light rubbers often need to be replaced, they dry out over time or have been painted in the colour of the car by the previous owner.
Among some tail light rubbers you can choose between an A-quality equal to the original or an economical B-quality.
You can't expect miracles from this B quality, the finish is much less important and in the composition of the rubber used, plastic has been used, among other things, which will not benefit the flexibility and durability.
Note:
Volkswagen has released various versions over the years whereby some versions were not available in the same way in every country. With the VW1200, this is mainly the case, which is why some years of manufacture offer two different rubbers. If this is the case, compare the rubber to your taillight before ordering.
